MUSEUM=EXPERIENCE=ENTERTAINMENT=LEARNING
We design our museum education workshops with the desire to arouse your attention, put a spark in your eyes and show many stories a museum’s artefacts, paintings and sculptures can tell if you listen to them with an open heart and mind.
We want to discover the works displayed at the permanent and temporary exhibitions with you and help you explore your creativity at our workshops linked to the artworks. We are committed to making museum visits a great experience, bringing art closer to you and encouraging you to express yourself and your ideas freely.

What preparations should I make if I am a tour guide and wish to take a group of tourists to visit the Hungarian National Gallery?
Prior to the visit
Free admission for the accompanying person
For a group of at least ten people, entry to the Museum’s permanent and temporary exhibitions is free of charge for one accompanying person.
Tourist guides are not permitted to give tours of the exhibitions
Please note that tourist guides are not permitted to lead tours in our exhibitions halls. Tours of our permanent and temporary exhibitions are conducted – in both Hungarian and other languages (English, French, Italian and Russian) – exclusively by our own, trained guides. In cases where the Hungarian National Gallery is unable to provide a tour of the exhibitions in the desired language, it is possible for travel agency tour guides to interpret for their groups during the Museum’s Hungarian exhibition tours.
