For visitors with special needs

Program components that comprise part of the larger scale special/evening programs of the Hungarian National Gallery are based on our experiences with hearing and visually impaired museum-goers, as well as physically and mentally disabled visitors.

In case you are planning a group visit, book a guided tour to our permanent exhibitions or one of our temporary exhibitions!

From time to time, we organize pre-advertised programs expressly for visitors with special needs. You can also select and book one of our requestable museum education workshops at any time.

Guided tours

Blind and visually impaired visitors

In addition to the comprehensive guided tours that are available in our permanent and temporary exhibitions, thematically centred tours can also be arranged. For our blind and visually impaired visitors, we give an especially detailed description of the presented artworks.

Visitors with physical disabilities

In addition to the comprehensive guided tours that are available in our permanent and temporary exhibitions, thematically centred tours can also be arranged. All our tours are wheelchair accessible.

Hearing impaired visitors

For our visitors with hearing impairment, on pre-advertised occasions, the experience of visiting the museum is made more complete with the help of a volunteer sign language translator.
